OMGiDRAWEDit in big 2024

OMGiDRAWEDit in big 2024

2024 has been all about traveling and exhibiting George's art around the world.

We kicked off the year in Paris, attending art shows and side events, devouring loads of croissants, and sharing wine with NFT friends we've known online since 2021. Meeting them in real life was incredibly special.

We saw some amazing talks, especially one by Le Randoms on Vera Molná. (If you're reading this and want a laugh, message us about my confusion with the Mona Lisa.)

Next, we were off to New York City for a truly unforgettable trip. George showcased his work in NYC for the first time with his piece The Producer. He also achieved a lifelong goal: having his art displayed in Times Square! At NFTNYC, his piece Midnight Streets was featured, and yes, we also managed to squeeze in about 832,638 bagels. On top of that, there was an eclipse and an earthquake! Our phones didn’t work in the U.S., so it was “funny” when, mid-breakfast in a packed diner, everyone’s earthquake alerts went off—except ours. Luckily, the quake was mild and didn’t require action.

After NYC, we headed to Lisbon. George had visited this part of Portugal for his stag do but, in true stag do fashion, couldn’t remember much, making him a pretty useless tour guide. So, we both experienced it together for the “first” time. Lisbon is stunning (and very hilly!). We were there for NFC Lisbon, a big event where George’s piece No Regrats, in collaboration with TRANSIENTLABS, was exhibited and minted.

George also featured on the NFC Lisbon main stage twice with two projects: the recently released Tamagotchi (more on that later) and Bedroom Nostalgia as part of his OMGiDRAWEDit world. NFC Lisbon is a fantastic event for art, and the great weather and beach party make it a must-visit. Highly recommend it—even if you're not into NFTs, it’s surprisingly budget-friendly if you get tickets early. Unlike some other NFT events with crazy ticket prices, it feels like this one genuinely tries to attract as many new/not nft native people as possible.

We also made it to Montreal, Canada, for a very wholesome trip. We met friends we never thought we'd see in person and attended RGBMTL at a pal’s studio with many other artist friends. George and I love to run together, so we did lots of it, and on one run, we even spotted a groundhog—I cried because it was so cute! Our friends tried to help us meet a raccoon, driving us around the city to known raccoon hangouts, but we had no luck. Looks like we’ll have to come back next year! The trip was short but magical; the main event was Friday, and we had to be back in London for our sister-in-law’s birthday on Sunday. We decided we're way too old for such whirlwind trips, but it did make us feel like rockstars for the weekend, very tired rockstars.

Lastly, an event we couldn’t attend but were there in spirit for: back in NYC, George had work exhibited at Nguyen Wahed Gallery. This piece, part of the recently released Tamagotchi series I mentioned, was displayed in an A1 light box with printed fabric—not a digital frame as it might look. These pieces are now available to purchase from here.

That’s it for our travels and exhibitions this year—so far, anyway. George is currently working on a piece for Art Basel Miami that you'll get to see in December, along with other exciting surprises.

This year has been incredible, and we feel so lucky and privileged to be traveling, creating art, and connecting with some of the greatest artists around!

Lots of love from B & G x
